Quality

Calico’s quality department’s main function is to monitor the purchased components, the manufacturing processes, and the assembly operations.  By using the customer’s specifications, Quality collects, prepares, and maintains product validation data. 
The data may encompass:  
  • First Piece/Last Piece Inspection
  • Product Testing
  • Capability Studies Using Statistical Process Control Data
  • Color Matching
Other Responsibilities of the Quality Department Include:  
  • Develop Product/Process Quality Plans through APQP Process 
  • Conduct Supplier Quality Assessments 
  • Maintain Calibration System
  • Incoming Inspection of Purchased Materials
  • Coordinate the Internal System Audits and External Independent Audit
  • Investigate and Resolve Product and System Corrective Actions (8D Reports)
This Laboratory Scope covers all the specific testing, evaluation, and calibration of all parts, equipment and procedures used in producing and releasing parts for Calico Precision Molding, LLC.  To perform these tasks, Calico uses the following equipment:
  • Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM)
  • Shadow Optical Comparator
  • Moisture Analyzer
  • Tension Olsen Tester
  • Vertical and Horizontal Force Testers
  • Gregtag Macbeth Spectro Light Jr.
  • 60 Gloss Meter
  • Spectrophotometer
